The way the Pakistani drama industry is progressing rapidly and carving a niche for itself worldwide, don't you think that if the government further patronizes this sector and provides additional facilities and support in the technical field, this industry could compete with the major entertainment industries of the region?

Today, Pakistani drama stars are seen at prestigious platforms like international red carpet events and the Cannes Fashion Festival. They have millions of fans worldwide on social media, while being invited as guests of honor at international ceremonies is also a great honor.

The Pakistani drama industry should not stop here. It needs to gain global fame just like Korean and Turkish dramas.
Pakistan has a lot of talent and amazing writers. Producers should ask them to write about social issues and high-quality stories, not just commercial hits. The industry needs to team up with the government for technical help and to build proper studios. This will reduce the budget burden on producers so they can fully focus on the content.
It is true that commercial dramas make a lot of money. However, serious dramas about social issues also become massive hits. Shows like Tan Man Neel o Neel, Aik Aur Pakeeza and Case No. 9 are great examples.
Today, the Turkish drama industry is bigger than many film industries and earns just as much money. Their secret is how beautifully they show their culture and history. Pakistan can easily follow Turkey's example. After all, we should always learn from those who are doing a great job

Furthermore, the technical evolution of our production houses has been nothing short of impressive. By investing in modern cinematic equipment, advanced color grading and superior sound engineering, we are already witnessing a visual shift that meets international benchmarks. If the government initiates dedicated media funds or grants for technological upgrades, our production teams could minimize the gap between local dramas and global streaming standards.

Another crucial factor for global dominance is the collaborative potential between Pakistani writers and global streaming platforms. Our storytelling—which is deeply rooted in emotions, family values and human struggle—is universal. When we integrate these strong narratives with global distribution channels, it opens doors for Pakistani stories to be viewed in non-traditional markets.

Ultimately, consistency is our strongest weapon. If we continue to balance our dramas with themes that address contemporary social issues—much like our legends once did—we will not only gain viewers but also earn global respect. A synergy between the passion of our artists, the vision of our writers and state-level support could turn the Pakistani entertainment industry into a formidable cultural superpower.
